Sally Foster, Inc.
Colorado Springs, Colorado
USA
Customer:
Sally Foster, Inc. a leading commodity packager, and distributor of fine chocolates and wrapping papers, began with Sally Foster the individual selling gift-wrap as a fundraiser for her children's school in 1972. The project was a great success. Based on this success, Sally and her husband, Phillip, started Sally Foster, Inc. to support fund-raising efforts for schools throughout the country. Sally Foster, Inc. joined the Entertainment® fund-raising family in 1993, and today, more than three million students are involved each year.
Program Challenge:
Sally Foster, Inc. needed a new 127,000 square foot high rack facility in Colorado Springs. Time was short. An extensive fire suppression system, as well as a good insulation value, was important to Sally Foster, Inc. They also had a desire to lease, rather than own the facility.
Solution:
To meet the requirement for an efficient and economical, large volume distribution facility, they turned to Nexera, the local Butler Builder®, and Butler Real Estate to get the project designed, constructed, and operational within the tight schedule they required. The design utilized site cast wall panel with a 5" foam core that provided an R-20 insulation value and an ESFR fire system that met Sally Foster, Inc.'s high bay requirements. All this was accomplished within a six-month design-to-build turnover period.
Customer Benefits:
The single source construction/development team of Nexera and Butler Real Estate provided Sally Foster, Inc. with a building that was aesthetically appealing, economical, and most importantly, met the functional requirements of the client, Sally Foster, Inc.
