Heavy Structures™ Solutions

Butler® Heavy Structures™ capabilities provide inspired solutions for complex structures. We integrate structural design with Butler pre-engineered metal building systems, giving you the best value of strength and economy.

Our Approach

While the customer base of Butler Heavy Structures crosses nearly every industry, the types of projects we execute generally fall into one of three broad categories: large clearspan structures such as sports facilities and aircraft hangars, heavy industrial complexes such as steel mills, power generation and heavy manufacturing plants, and highly architectural structures such as entertainment venues.

Project Delivery Method

Complex projects warrant a greater degree of involvement. That's why a Project Engineering Manager leads each Butler Heavy Structures project, providing you with a single point of contact during the proposal, design, detailing, fabrication, and delivery of your project. Our Project Engineering Managers are supported by an experienced group of structural engineers, project technicians, and CADD specialists who are dedicated to the successful completion of your project.

Conceptual Design & Estimating

The lowest-price building may not provide the lowest overall cost for the owner. To determine the best value, you must also consider the cost of the foundation and the erection of the structure. Early involvement is the key to gaining the most value for your project. The greatest savings come from good decisions made well before construction starts.

Design, Fabrication & Delivery

Once the project moves to contract, Butler Heavy Structures provides complete design services for the building shell package, including shop drawings and coordination with other design professionals engaged in the project. Butler Heavy Structures also takes responsibility for the fabrication of all building components included in our scope of work and coordinates the delivery of materials to the job site.
